Christmas

Well it's almost here Christmas I mean. So it's time for cheer and merriment and getting gifts. The anticipation is just too great. What will we get? What will I get? I don't know for sure but I'm pretty sure I have a good idea what I might be getting. Probably candy or something like that. What are you getting? or what do you think your getting? is the question I leave you with today. Remember to ponder the answer to the question.

Scrooge

I wanted to take this time to talk about a time honored tradition at my house which is the watching of the musical Scrooge as a family. This is by far is the version of A Christmas Carol I have seen the most. We watch this movie every year for as long as I personally can remember. Seriously I can't think of one year we haven't watched it. We also have a very specific time each year that we watch this key moment of Christmas and that is the night before Christmas eve. There is a good reason for that and that's because we open our presents or Christmas eve because we go to Bowling Green on Christmas day. There's no real time on either Christmas or the day before so we watch it the day before that (What we call Christmas eve eve.) Anyway that's my families only real Christmas tradition so I'd thought I'd share.

New Old Game

I know I write a lot about games and I apologise but, here is yet another one so please bare with me. Last weekend I got an old game that came out three years ago that my sister got when it came out. I played her copy of it for three years now until she moved out then came back to claim it at least a year after she left, so I was caught off guard and then tried to find a copy myself. It took awhile but, the same sister called me from her job last Saturday to say that the store she works at just got a copy so I immediately got in a car an went over there. A few minutes later I went in found the game and bought it, in and out, also I said hi to my sister. It wasn't until later I pondered just how I got in the situation of buying a game I kind of already had. It seems that the sister leaveth to you then taketh away then giveth back, weird indeed but, panned out to where I was before so all is well now that I have this new old game.

Hmmm

I found it interesting that I decided to write a poem yesterday for my blog. That surprises me, it surprises me that, that surprises me and I know that's horrible English...sorry. I have written a poem before out of nowhere. Back in sophomore year I write a poem in response to a video I watched on YouTube, and to use vocabulary, a completely extemporaneous event. It just came to me I so I wrote then I refined and decided to turn it in to my teacher she liked it and sent me letter then I turned it into a video of me reading it on YouTube (still available.) You can look for it by the name Tore Am I: By Korey Pears one of only two videos I have. I had more but, I got rid of them. Any way in reflection of both poems all I have to say is Hmmm.

I Don't Know

I don't know
I don't know what to write about
I don't know if I'm in or out
I don't know what to say
I don't know what day
I don't know who will bring an end
I don't know if I should pretend
I don't know how to write poetry
I don't know my ancestry
I don't know

Master of Puppets

Finally something to write about, inspiration ho! Lately I have been listening to more and MORE Metallica and I must say that they are the best band ever! every song of theirs I have heard I have liked and there is one album of theirs in particular that Is my favorite. Master of Puppets is that album and its is awesome to degree unheard of in 1986 when it came out. It doesn't sound that old in fact it sounds timeless and every track is just wonderful from their construction to the vocals and instrumental genius that tie them together. Battery, Master of Puppets (title track), The Thing That Should Not Be, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Disposable Heroes (which I believe is a great song about soldiers in a war), Leper Messiah, Orion (an instrumental piece), and Damage Inc. are eight of the best song constructed by Metallica or anyone for that matter; and that is why I want the CD version of this album from Santa this year because we all know Santa likes Metal so (directed toward Santa now) Please give me this Album in CD form for Christmas. It is my only wish and that fact that the album is twenty three years old means that's gone down in price so it shouldn't cost to much to you Mr. Santa Claus, Thank you.

Nothing to Write About

Well I got nothing, this is yet another day of absence in my dry spell I have in my writing. So dull today, not much going on besides that it's Friday and that means no school for two days but, still have to work the whole time because of several projects due soon that I have yet to start on. So with nothing to write about, what am I to write about? I don't know either so I suppose all just write on how my dry spell is going. It's been going on for several weeks now and I am sick of It but, it's not as if inspiration will suddenly plop in front of me. so I am stuck here writing about it instead of writing about something. Well time to go agian hope I can acually write about something next time.

Tuesday

Well guess what today is Tuesday and I have pretty much nothing to talk about again and once again the prompt does not intrigue me. All I've got, that I can think of is a game I want that comes out in exactly one week, but I've already done the waiting for a game blog and some stupid made for TV movie that they played and I was stupid enough to watch it, so there is only one other thing to write about what I did over Halloween. Well I watched a stupid movie (not the one I mentioned before) and I went over to my friends house where we listened to the Ghostbusters theme song then some Metallica. Oh and I also gave out some candy to a serial killer. That was my Halloween I bet yours was more eventful than mine so I leave you with this quote "Time flys in a experimental super sonic jet so you can even see it." Anonymous.

Dry Day

Today is a dry day for my writing I must say. I can't think of much to write about...got a song stuck in my head, it's a good song though so I'm good...Halloween is coming up, lots of candy and old movies on TV like Halloween, the one you like so much. It is a rather decent movie better than final destination, but I won't dwell on past rants. John Carpenter can make a good movie, many include Kurt Russell for some reason. Well almost time to go so I better finish up. See ya, sorry for lack of topic, and happy Wednesday.

Post Fall Break

Well it's post fall break and I'm tired and bored, really tired and bored. Plus I've got homework and I don't feel like doing it. I feel like taking a coma. I just hope I make it home before I fall over... sorry dosed off for a minute or five. well the bell should ring soon... sorry dosed off again and... where did everyone go? Well since it's an hour or two after school I think I should wrap this up. sorry for my drowsiness but, I'm just so tired.

Third Use of Prompt

Well as you can figure out by my straight forward title this is my third use of a prompt given to me, and this time it's what is the scariest movie I've seen? First off I should mention I have a different concept of scary than most people I know. What most people call "scary" I call "startling" and yes I make a distinction when it comes to describing movies. For example Some people believe that shaky camera movies like Cloverfield, Quarantine, and the Blair Witch Project are "scary," but I believe to be "startling". My difference is this "scary" things are scary even if you saw them coming a mile away, but "startling" is something like you turn a corner in a old house and see a man with a knife through his back or you bump into someone when not looking where you are going. Now that I explained my difference between "scary" and "startling" I hope you can better understand my choice for the "scariest" movie I have seen. The scariest movie I have seen is Jaws. My reason for picking Jaws is because its fits my definition of "scary" which as previously stated is something that frightens you regardless of the situation, but can be affected somewhat by the situation. Jaws is that to me because first of all and primarily It's somewhat realistic. Sharks have been know to kill people on occasion and like most good horror it does have some basis in reality. Just to show you that Jaws fits my definition of "scary" What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word "shark"? Probably wasn't a happy thought was it. The secondary reason for my choosing Jaws is is the situation adds to the horror, it isn't the horror. The characters in Jaws are on an island and this shark not only kills people, it ruins their economy, and their way of life. So it's not just a movie about killing like so many horror movies are, which I admire. The last thing I should mention is that horror movies are definitely not my favorite kinds of movies. Most of the are just stupid, sorry if that offends, and yet this "scary" movie is one of my favorite movies of all time and has been since I was a young child. I believe this speaks to how good a movie it is and with that I leave you, also sorry I went so long that it's the longest I've ever wrote here and wasted half your day.

Review

well, I'm bored today and I can't think of anything to blog about and we didn't have a prompt, so I've decided to review. I've written about all kinds of things; in only two months I've gone from being angry about stupid plotless movies to saying how awesome Ozzy Osbourne's music is to talking about old video games and then new ones. It's been a interesting two months, depending on how you feel about these things of course, but I feel as though that there might be a few more intriguing things to come just not now because I am a dry well if you know what I'm saying. So leave you with time to review on what you have done these past few months, bye.

Friday

Guess what day it is, Tuesday. No it's Friday and thank all the is holy that it is Friday this week has been OK, not bad, not great, certainly better than last week. No homework this weekend or so I think, but I do have to get up early tomorrow for a lab test. This week has been alright, two movies a class much better than the last and another in another class spontaneous and unexpected. Ice cream for all in the senoir class that was fun I had seconds. I'm not writing that well today because I know it's Friday and that's all I have to say.

P.S. see you monday

Dark

I was afriad of the dark when I was younger and this is the second time I've done a prompt given to me. I remember not being able to move when the lights when off and not being able to sleep without a little night light by my bed. I was just completely horrified of the dark and not much would freak me out more, unlike now, now the dark puts me to sleep. That's not to say I can't fall sleep when it's bright, I can, but I really got to be tired. just thought I'd mention how the dark used to frieten me, but not any more. Now I just don't like stubing my toe or smashing my leg, but that's different than a fear of the dark.

Head Pain

Guess what have as I am writing this a headache, and oh boy is it fun I really enjoy the horrible pain which has prevented me from doing much of anything today and will continue to enjoy the rest of the day, wallowing in bed not being able to eat or sleep, oh boy isn't it fun. On a less sarcastic note this head pain is debilitating and I can hardly type this and I need an Advil now and if I don't get one I'm going... sorry getting angry due to the pain any way got to go before I do something I might regret.

Sleep

Who hasn't, it's great isn't it? I mean sleep, it's the best invention since sliced bread. Sleep is one of my favorite thing, in fact when I'm asleep I dream of sleeping. I love it, few things are better than sleep. I wish I could be a spokesperson for sleep so I can show my appreciation for it. Sleep is wonderful and I would write more, but I'm sleepy and I can't ignore sleep.

That New Game Agian

Remember that game I wrote about last time well I just got not too long ago and I must say it is really good. Oh I never told you what the game was well...too bad...sorry, just have to guess. The game is similar to some others I have, but that's because it's part of a series. I really enjoy playing it. Even though it is similar there are some differences the make it stand out. In this game you play someone who is the main character in the series, whom you have always played except for parts of another game, in fact he is not even in this one at all. Not knowing what game I writing about is getting to you isn't? Another thing different is now you can really choose where to go next in the game unlike the previous games which are quite linear. I do enjoy this feature which I have seen in another game I like to an even greater extent. Oh still want to know well find the game is

New Game

Yesterday a New Game I have been waiting for came out and know can think of much else besides another game that's related to it that I already have. The one I already have I will play until the weekend when I plan to pick the new one up, but until then I am waiting for it. I hope that it works when I get it since I have to use another game to play this one, which is extremely confusing and I don't understand why exactly. Just thought I share what I'm looking forward to this week so sorry if I bored you and talked about nothingyou cared about, but I leave you this question, what are you looking forward to this week?

End of Summer

Today is the last day of summer and tomorrow is the first day of fall. interesting isn't it. It hasn't felt like summer in a while, but does feel like fall yet. Fall break, Halloween, and Thanksgiving are only a little ways off. Are you ready? Am I ready? What is ahead? Is it big? Is it small? well whatever the future is one thing I am certain of it is the end of summer and the begining of fall.

Potatoes

This is the first time I'm using one of my teacher's prompts for this because in can identify with this. Potatoes are one of my favorite foods in fact my mom could comment on how without potatoes I would starve. I really like potatoes; fries, chips, and mashed are all great! I ate mashed potatoes just two nights ago and these were homemade my favorite. Last night I had french fries and potato chips like Pringles are just delectable. According to a self done survey potatoes make up 45% of my diet and are the number one vegetable consumed by me. Far surpassing all other vegetables and fruit such as carrots and bananas. Without the best of all vegetables I would most likely die with about three days.

Burned

I know how I said that I would try not to bore you with things you don't care about, but guess what happen to me two days before this I got burned, literally. Saturday I decided to go and spend my money and get a pizza which was very good. Then I had some leftovers on Sunday. I decided to heat it up in the oven which tastes better than microwaved as we all know. That I should have thought agian on because when I went to get it out of the oven my pot holder sliped and I burned my right thumb, Big Time. It hurt for five striaght hours, no joke, and nothing helped for long during that time. Not ice, not ice packs, not cold water, not ice water, nothing. just thought I mention what happened this weekend.

Galaga

Last Time I wrote about old games and I mentioned a game called Galaga. I wanted to go into more detail about it. It's an awesome old arcade game from 1981 where you shoot aliens in a little space ship, so it's standard game of the time, simple, but it is just so much fun that I can hardly explain the allure of it. My parents have played it obviously longer than me and are better than me at it, but I am trying to show them up and beat there old, long running, high scores. It's very fun and to anyone who likes old arcade games or video games in general you should try it. So I just wanted to talk about what I like to play and hope I didn't bore you.

Old Video Games

So what did I do over labor day weekend well it's an interesting, but weird story. I was pretty bored, tired of whatever I was doing before that weekend and just out of nowhere I decided to play some old games thinking it's been half of a decade since the last time I have even seen them so when not play them. So I got out these old games from my much younger years which were the Namco classic collection for playstation. the really funny thing is the games were really by the time this collection of them came out and now the collection itself is quite old. I was playing games like Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Pole Position one and two, Old and New Rally X, Galaga, Galaxan, and many more. After I begun to play I realized I was having more fun from a game than I had in a long time and I remembered that Old Video Games are by the by more fun than newer games which try way to hard to impress when simple is better.

three day weekend

So what is the difference between a two day weekend and a three day weekend besides an extra day. I mean what makes people including me look forward to a weekend with an extra day is it really the extra day or is it the shorter week that follows. Could it be something else? Could it be that I'm tricked into thinking that the extra day will hold untold wonders that if I went to school would not have been? Could it be just that I hate school so much that even two seconds away from school would be enough to get me excited beyond all comprehension? I'm not sure though I have a pretty good idea.

Ozzy

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Ozzy Osbourne songs and I really like his stuff. He can really sing in my opinion and definitely deserves the respect he gets plus some. With songs like You're No Different, Dreamer, Flying High Again, Spiders, Walk on Water, No More Tears, Mama I'm Coming Home, Dairy of a Madman, Thank God for the Bomb, and Crazy Train you can't help but like him as long as you like rock music or any genre related to it. Also I am sorry if I talked about something that bores you but, just thought I talk about Ozzy.

schoolwork

Most of us have done work at school in our time and most think of it not to highly. Like this for example some people might consider this to be pointless. Schoolwork however does serve a purpose and does that well. It helps us learn ultimately and makes sure that we retain said information. Some schoolwork that is very important, let's say math might be boring and seemingly unimportant while in reality it serves a very crucial role in common knowledge building. English is just as important to common knowledge building as math. English supplies you with the most basic of needs required to make it under any circumstances language, without language you couldn't do much of anything at all and that's why schoolwork is important. Also I'm sorry for rambling on about things no one cares about.

Sigh

I know how I said I wouldn't bother you with things of my opinion but, this needs to be said. Nothing makes me sigh as much as as movies with no plot and or characterization. The same can be said for all media as well. my problem with movies like Final Destination and 2012 is that they don't have plots that hold your attention or characters you care about in fact in Final Destination you know there all going to die and the entire plot is just a series of death scenes that are much less than creative and also very repetitive none are particularly shocking or is any moment scary by anyone's measure. Another thing is the death scenes are always violent and predictable plus the thing I have the biggest problem with is the plot of the series. How do these people see the future, they couldn't before the movie, why now? also why does "Death" want these people dead right then doesn't "Death" know that will all die eventually so whats the rush? Also I believe if they were meant to die there they couldn't have avoided it, if it's not there time it's not there time.

Whatever

Once again I am forced to write a blog for my English class. This is a tremendous waste of time in my eyes. I have nothing to write about, no problem worth mentioning, no things to get off my chest, no nothing, pardon my horrible grammar. I most certainly don't want to be one of those people who blog on every single little thing that I'm doing, thinking, about to do, or whatever you don't want to read. So please except my apologies for this blog it is a grade and I have to do five of these every two weeks so please.

start

first blog, don't have much to write, only that I have to do this for my english class and that I will most likely forget about it afterwards.
